Lifelong hunter, traveling across the country with my boykin spaniels chasing waterfowl, upland birds, and the occasional story. Connoisseur of good bourbon, gas station pork rinds, and the worst duck caller east of the Mississippi. My Dad raised me duck hunting in Virginia and ingrained in me a deep appreciation for the history of waterfowling.
Dad has many of the hunting classics by Nash Buckingham, Gene Hill, and Robert Ruark amongst others. He is also an avid decoy collector which has also caused me to have a huge appreciation of the older books and decoy carvers of the past. I have now made it a priority to take Traveller all across the US in order to hunt as many different places as possible and meet as many fellow hunters as we can.

Crystal has also been raised with Boykin Spaniels, she grew up with "Boy", who she ultimately claimed was "her dog". Crystal decided to come aboard The Hunting Traveller in March of 2020 when she was swooned by Mr. Cooper himself. Once she met Traveller, it was a done deal. Meeting Chris was more of an added bonus. While not a hunter herself, she does enjoy grilled pheasant and grouse! She's more than happy to take the pups on a hike or out paddle boarding in the summer. We are extremely happy to have Crystal aboard as our Chief Morale Officer and Chief Treat Giver
